Membership Categories

During 2011 we will be adjusting the Affiliate membership category and renaming it ‘Qualifying’ membership.  It remains a one year membership, allowing you time to get your qualification panel together.

All our current Affiliates will receive information on the change when your membership becomes due.  In the meantime, if you have any queries, please email Murray at membership@bipp.com.

During last year we received a lot of requests from people who’d like to stay in touch with BIPP via email etc.  So we have introduced a friends’ package which allows them to do just that.  If you know people in the industry (perhaps your local lab or supplier), who may want to keep up to date with BIPP, they can find more information on bipp.com.

Payback for Visual Artists

Payback is an annual service provided by the Design and Artist Copyright Society (DACS) which distributes millions of pounds of royalties to visual artists whose work has been reproduced in UK books, magazines etc.  The Payback royalties come from revenue generated through collective licensing schemes which are used in situations where it would be difficult for visual artists to licence their rights on an individual basis.  The campaign will be launched in June and runs to September.  Visual artist who wish to claim Payback for the first time in 2011 can register their details with DACS by emailing payback@dacs.org.uk.  For more information contact Joanne Milmoe, Communications Officer at DACS on 020 7553 9064 or joanne@dacs.org.uk.
